The project uncovers hidden treasures within each journey from truly global organizations to the diverse global citizens who collectively shape this bold new world. In a rapidly changing world, where the scenery continually changes, we all yearn to discover our sense of belonging. ‘Only Passing by’ charts a fresh course for those in search of their place in this interconnected globe. It urges us to transcend our past and em brace the evolving tapestry of tribes forming amidst the vast expanse of globalization.
“Diversity is the engine of invention. It generates creativity that enriches the world.” – Justin Trudeau

Only Passing By invites viewers to interpret the title in their own way and approach the photographic work with their unique perspectives. The title may appear simple, but it carries profound complexities. The project is designed to spark discussions and inspire individuals. When you encounter the title, it could be a reflection of yourself the viewer. Are you the one passing by, or am I? How do you perceive your role in the globalized world as an individual? And, in an idealistic sense, how can you contribute to bringing out the best in yourself when embracing diverse perspectives?

Who are we, and what do we aspire to become? We are all travelers, merely passing through, exploring potential futures within ourselves and the globalized world. Throughout history, many people and cultures have faced stigmatization, and the aim here is to break free from stereotypes. We must view the world with optimism, considering both regional and global progress. It’s time to redefine our identities and unite for the plan et’s growth. By looking at each other from fresh angles, we can forge a path toward freedom and dignity.

I firmly believe that ‘Only Passing By’ does more than showcase multiculturalism from a singular viewpoint. The entire journey contributes to a richer understanding of multiculturalism, emerging from a multitude of perspectives and locations. I want viewers to immerse them selves so deeply in the ‘Only Passing By’ experience that they grapple with the complexity of our contemporary world. It’s a world where many stereotypes have become obsolete. My hope is that, after encountering my work, people will reconsider how they perceive the everyday person crossing the street. I aspire to challenge the way assumptions are made based on immediate first impressions.

Ultimately, my goal is for the work to reveal that the artist is not the protagonist in this journey; it’s the viewer. It’s about a community that transcends geographical boundaries, extending far beyond the cities featured in the project. The project should unveil the human aspect of globalization. While it’s a complex subject, the project brings together various concepts like culture, history, politics, economics, and religion. Personally, I embarked on this journey first as an individual and second as an artist. What I’ve encountered and what lies ahead represents the transformation of the present into the future I’ve discussed. As an artist, I carry the responsibility of shedding light on this new world.

Now, more than ever, we can proudly call ourselves explorers of the world’s vastness. Globalization has transformed our world into a global village. Advancements in technology and communication have made every corner of the globe accessible to our society. Journeys that once spanned a lifetime can now be completed in mere hours, and a wealth of information lies at our fingertips. Lives have expanded beyond the confines of individual tribes, revealing a new level of understanding.
As our tribes blend and intersect, what defines us?
It becomes evident that we are all travelers in a world undergo ing constant change. So, what steps can we take to reconcile our fleeting presence in this ever-evolving world?
